Extending agent tools and experimenting with research
Project: An autonomous WordPress publishing and management system
This update brings together a smaller set of changes around automation and extensibility. The MCP interface can now accept tools contributed by other plugins, and its prompts can be overridden. That gives site-specific extensions a way to participate in an agent workflow without putting every tool and instruction into the core plugin.
Publishing and filtering
I added an automatic publishing scheduler with a runner, schedule management, idea-state handling and run logging. Watchlists also gained a standard LLM filter option. These are mechanisms for moving and filtering work through the system; they do not remove the need to judge the material or verify the resulting articles.
A research experiment
I added a web-research setup to article creation, including a context-enrichment component and settings for the automated publishing flow. The search integration was then reverted in the same development period, including that component and its settings. The commit history shows the reversal, but does not establish why, so I am treating it as an experiment rather than a lasting capability or assigning it a reason.
